Level 2

Wired and Manual

Making your Robots can be quite adventurous and exciting! Here's the level where you learn to make your beginner's Robots…. A land and water Robot!! This workshop brings you closer to developing technology level products with the first step. You can play football, or use it as a Tanker, or race with other ones and many other exciting features. Even better is the fact that these Robots can be controlled using a Remote which is wired to your Robot and hence the name "Wired and Manual".

Course Contents

• Bomoaquana – It is an aqua-Bot i.e. it moves on water. Well it is just like a boat with an engine; although here we have motors with propellers (like we have in ships). Also, an additional feature is the jet spray.
• Metrix – It is a remote controlled Manual robot with multi features. It is a multi-utility, feature-rich, customizable device which is educational, operational and competitive. It has an electrical arm which can be customized for various applications. It works great, moving in all directions along with LED night vision. It has head-lights too!

Duration

10 hours for the whole level.
Concepts you master:
• Floating, sinking, balancing • Density, Weight • Current, Voltage • Distance, Speed • Angles, Geometry • Magnetism, Electro-magnetism • Traction, acceleration, torque • Measurements • Work, Energy • Laws of Motion • Mechanical Structures, Aesthetics

Level 3

Wireless and Solar

Wireless is the next step after Wired Robotics! In this workshop one learns to design and develop a wireless Robot and also learn how to modify the wired Robots accordingly. Here, the concepts of wireless communication and different kinds of wireless devices are learned. The wireless circuit, data and PS2 are then interfaced to a wired robot.

Level 4

Autonomous – Visual Programming

Now your reach to the making of your Humanoid Robots,is very near. In this level, you learn to make Robots which can be controlled, not with Wired Remotes or Wireless Remote, but with your own Programs which are in Visual Programming!! The Robots have a variety of sensors, motors, controller board, and remote control!

Creativity Corner

• Hobby kits will be provided which will be designed and developed by you and can be taken home on a chargeable basis.
• Competitions will be held during the workshop: o Best creative design o Races with Qu-Bots

Course Contents

• Qu-Bot – It is a Quickly Programmable Robot which is programmed as a Line follower & Obstacle Avoider. The Qu-Bot Robot Kit is a very easy to assemble, programmable robotic kit that comes complete with a variety of sensors, motors, controller board, remote control, visual icon based software QBVLab, battery, charger, manual. Virtually everything you need to build, code, program and execute the program. The Qu-Bot Robot kit connects to the PC via USB cable (included) and is programmable through an easy-to-use QBVLab drag and drop modular icon based software program. After the program sequences have been uploaded into the robot via USB, it can be controlled by remote control or can behave according to the user defined parameters.

Duration

15 hours in total for the workshop.
Concepts you master:
• Concept of Autonomous • Microelectronics • Visual Programming (QBV Lab) • Sensors • Power supply • LCD • Designing

Level 5

Autonomous – Embedded C

Autonomous robotics is the ulterior motive of learning Robotics. Atomo is the best way of learning how to make an autonomous Robot along with programming. Smart-e is our Autonomous robotics and project designing board, thereby giving higher utility from one board. We use this smart board for designing our autonomous Robot; which is based on 8051 micro-controller and embedded with various components. 8051 core helps in making programming easy and when it is "Embedded C" programming it will be more interesting!

Creativity corner

• Hobby kits will be provided which will be designed and developed by you and can be taken home on a chargeable basis.
• Competitions will be held during the workshop:
o Best creative design o Wheeled robot races

Course Contents

• Gesture Controlled Robot – It is a Robot which is maneuvered wearing a hat which acts as a remote. The bot moves in different directions based upon the gestures of a person's head who is wearing the hat. It is made using the accelerometer (which senses the tilt) and the wireless communication is over the zigbee channels.
